WASHINGTON - 250 miles - 400km

Je viens de passer deux jours dans cette superbe ville qu'est Washington! Le début a été pluvieux mais la suite tourne plus autour des 36 degrés, plus dur, mais sur fond de cigales! on verra la suite, je descends vers le sud! je ne préfère pas y penser!

La ballade à Washington est vraiment sympa, tous les musées sont gratuits, la plupart sont assez beaux, d'autre ressemblent plus à des gros blockhaus, et tous sont sur le MALL, la "place" principale de la ville. Mais c'est ENORME! pour aller du mémorial de Lincoln au capitole il faut bien 30 minutes!! pfiou! 

Ah oui la ville est une grande fan des mémoriaux, entre le Lincoln mémorial, Jefferson, Franklin, D Roosevelt, Martin Luther King et autre guerre mondiale 2, Corée, ou encore Vietnam!, il y a de quoi faire!

I just spend two days in this great city, Washington. The beginning was rainy, but now it's more like  36°C, (very Hot) but i can hear the crickets. I'll see the after, i'm going down in the south, i prefer not to think about that now.

Walk around Washington is very pleasant, all the museums are free, most of them are pretty beautiful, but some other are like bunkers.  Everything is on the MALL, the main area of the city. But it's HUGE! To go from the Lincoln Memorial to the Capitol, it takes 30 minutes.!! 

Oh yes, he city is a big fan of memorials, in between the Lincoln, Jefferson, Franklin, D Roosevelt, M.Luther King, and different war like World war 2, Korea or Vietnam, there's a lot to do.

Mais un de mes quartiers préférés restera GEORGETOWN, c'est super mignon. C'est que des petites maisons individuelles, colorées, les trottoirs sont en briques rouges, et le tout très vert! une très belles ballade! Et puis il y a l'Université, une vraie université américaine en pierres grises qui ressemble un peu au château de Harry Potter. Non vraiment, Washington c'est cool! (Un grand merci à Anne pour m'avoir hébergé et pour le match de baseball et le barbeurc, enfin tout!!) Et demain Départ pour le Tennessee, une longue étape m'attend! 

But one of my favorite area is GEORGETOWN, it's super cute. It all about small individual houses, very colorful, the sidewalks are made with red bricks, and everything is very green. A very nice walk. And there is the university, a real american one, with grey stones, it looks like the Harry Potter castle.  Really, Washington is very cool! (A big thanks to Anne for giving me hosted, for the baseball match and the BBQ, i mean, everything!!) And tomorrow, it's the departure for Tennessee, it will be a long step!
