BYE BYE AMERICA

At the end, it's benn an amazing trip! I finally discovered the center of this country, stuck in between two coast.

I would have made a total of about 6214 miles, that's a long way, but it was so much happiness.
Yes the accident in the middle, stopped me, but it gives me a good excuse to go back and finish it all! So the nationals parks of the west, wait for me, I'll be back!

I hope you enjoyed this blog, and allowed you to follow me throughout this journeyI hope to have made you dream and i wish you to tempt to discover the other facets of this country! Thank you to those who have followed and commented on all that.
Go for a future trip!

BURNING MAN - BLACK ROCK CITY- 5985 miles - 9631km

I will not say that much about the burning man! Whatever what i will tell you, you would not believe me! the best is to go there and experience it by yourself! It's too amazing, too crazy, too beautiful, too ......much!
it's very simple, in the space of 2 hours, you can listen to a jazz concert, take a massagedrink some champagne, cross rolling magic mushrooms, fish light where you can embark on a walk, a desert island with palm trees, fishing on a pier, do yoga, drink mojitos, cross naked people blue people, Marie Antoinette, a rabbit, the Jedi, seeing extraordinary structures, see these huge structures burn,  .... oh, a sandstorm!
Basically go ahead, it's not describable!

TO SAN FRANCISCO- 5648 Miles - 9090km

Here I am in San Francisco after traveling the 918 miles (1477km), which separated me from Moab, where I was in hospital for the first x-ray.

The road was terribly long, in the middle of nowhere. On a straight road limited to 65 mph (104km / h), and no radio. The landscape should be beautiful, but I confess that my mind was more focused on the way that I had to do!
It finally took two days! Highly motivated to arrive here as soon as possible!
I saw my surgeon on Friday morning, she scheduled my surgery for next Monday!
Little story for fans of "Grey's Anatomy", the assistant surgeon was called Dr. Yang! funny!
Finally he operation went well, I do not have a plaster but a splint. I will have one when they will remove the stitches! For now it still hurts, but fortunately I have pills against the pain!

You know everything!
But I did it! I finally crossed the United States!

ARCHES- 4730 miles - 7612km

Arches, it's really a beautiful park! All these stone arches, which are created over time, and the intense red color,.... it's really great!

Too bad I could not enjoy it more!
Yes, my road trip ends here, due to a fall in the park. I broke my arm and I had to wait 1 hour for the Rangers to come to gave me a splint and i had to come down. For the record I did a little trek, I walked around during 1:30 on the longest trail and furthest from the park entrance of course. I slipped on what they call here, "snaky sand" and I caught up with my hands. The left arm did not like!

When the rangers arrived, I had to come down with my splint, take my car and go to the nearest hospital 35 km to do some x-ray.
At this moment, i learn that I need to have surgery! It is from here the begins of the war with my insurance!

It's complicated, but to summarize, I had to drive, alone, the 1300km that separated me from San Francisco to find a doctor approved by the insurance and hope to be covered for the operation!
I have an appointment to see an orthopedic specialist Friday morning and I'm waiting to see if I can be made here, or if I should return to France (but the return is not covered by insurance of course, it would be too simple).
So for now I wait, it will be four days it happened, and my hand is still waiting to be attached to my arm! (I do not do half of things, the two bones of the arms are broken!)
You know everything, may be there will be a next post .... I hope it does not end up like that!
